The finite element method is applied to analyze the shear lag effect of continuous curved RC box girder. The affecting factors include: radius of curvature, the ratio of height to width, the distance of webs, the bearing offsetting of single-pedestal pier, the numbers of cross boards and the form of beam section. The stress distribution and shear lag coefficients can be concluded from the results of finite element calculation. The rules of shear lag coefficients changing with affecting factors are summarized. From this, the most important factors can be educed and the suggestions on diminishing the shear lag effect in design are made.Analysis of Ramp D is done based on the load testing in Luo Ma bridge, calculated the deflection, strain, stress and shear lag coefficients. Compare the calculation of this paper with testing measurement datum and theory calculate datum in load testing reports, the exactness of this paper can be validated. Calculate the effective breadth of this bridge using finite element method, JTJ 023-85 and DIN1075,and educe the simple method of calculating the effective breadth of continuous curved RC box girder, in order to provide a reference for design.
