With the development of economy, the traffic volume increases rapidly Channelization, overload and heavy load are very common. During the period of high and low temperature, the conventional asphalt concrete pavement can't support the heavy traffic, so the improvement and research on the performance of asphalt concrete pavement become very important. Superpave, SMA and modified asphalt are widely used. Much attention has been paid to the fiber asphalt pavements because of its good performance and reasonable cost.On the basis of quantity of tests and comparison between different fiber, two gradation and two kinds of asphalt, this paper explains the theory of tests and comparison between different fiber, two gradation, and two kinds of asphalt. This paper explains the theory of better performance of FAC and analyzes the internal law, the method of determining OAC according to the Marshall test presented. First, the OAC according to the Marshall test is presented. Second, the OAC without fiber is determined, then increases or reduces the oil stone ratio by 0.1% with different content of fiber and Marshall tests are done. Through the comprehensive analysis of stability flow and voids ratio the OAC and content of fiber can be determined .According to the comparison between different gradation, it illustrates that asphalt mixture of dense gradation with fiber performs better; When the oil stone ratio is fixed the performance can be improved by increasing the content of fiber reasonably. Finally this paper suggests that 0.3% fiber be added in asphalt mixture. The economical and technical analysis of the feasibility demonstrated that FAC pavement can be widely used.
