The cavitation phenomenon has already experienced several generations' understanding and researching from it's discovered up to now. Until 1994 Russia manufactured the first super-cavity torpedo which speed can reach at 200kn successfully, this speed breaks the thinking of tradition that it only can up to 140Kn underwater, exciting the fever of study the super-cavitation in many countries. Under such background, the super-cavitation is studied in this article from the experiment and theory. The subject comes from the foundation research of national defense. The main contributions are as follows:1. A series of model experiment with developed super-cavitation are actualized in the water tunnel. Based on the deep studied about the super-cavitation experiment technique and the data processing techniques which including obtained the pictures of experiment cavitation, the effect of cavitation number and Fr number, a corrective method on the experiment of cavitation and the quantity relation of cavity effected by the gravity are obtained; According to born cavitation and developing cavitation, as well as cavity profile expired in the water tunnel, and analyzed the phenomenon of cavitation and cavity profile, four stages of cavitations are developed, which is easy for research and expression the concept of steady super-cavity;2. From the potential flow theory, the approximation function on cavitator and cavitation number with the cavity profile is deduced and created according to the slender body theory. Calculation instance is given, and compared with the formula computing result and water tunnels experiment, result indicated that these functions could estimate the cavity profile goodly.3. According to the panel method, the calculation of cavitation is established, and adopted the iteration method to solve it. The result estimated that this method fixed the cavity profile in wholly, based on compare with the empirical formula computation of other scholars, and approximate result in present.But because of various reasons, the information of cavitation research is very limited in public (?) Especially in the domestic, this rese(?)tart, still be placed in to the (?)prehension and summaries of the fore(?) Therefore,this articie on studies to the cavitation is very imp(?) for the (?) research andfor the control of the cavitation.
