Based on the finite element and the boundary element methods, and commercial software platforms, the structural vibration and noise of the cab structures have been systematically simulated and studied in this thesis.Firstly, the worldwide research achievements of the vibration and sound are reviewed, and noise of produce and radiation in cab are introduced. Then, the control procedures of noise in cab are presented. The problems of an enclosure and radiation of a pulsant sphere are simulated with the finite element method. The numerical results agree well with the analytical ones.Secondly, using the software ANSYS, the structure-acoustic coupling model is established. The structural modal and the corresponding dynamic responses are calculated and analyzed. Interior noise levels are determined using the boundary element method for vibration velocity of panels. Finally, the structure-acoustic coupling and uncoupling models of the cab are analyzed with different interior sound pressure levels. Then, the effects of different cab panel thicknesses, the sound-structure interaction on the cab interior sound noise and the interior sound pressure level are studied. A panel acoustics contribution analysis (PACA) is done to determine the structural areas of the cab contribution most to the noise levels at the drivers left ear.The research in this paper provides some valuable conclusions and simulation approach for the design and experiment of the cab structural system, which can effectively reduce the manufacturing periods and cost of the system.
