Digital following-up controller in ships is designed for improving the performance of modern weapons, according to the claim of modernization of the national defenses. Analog following—up system in use limits the further improvement of weapon precision, so it is quite meaningful to convert those analog systems to digital systems.Because the work condition of the following-up controller in ship is very bad, the incremental encoder can not be used as a position sensor. The position sensor of the system is synchro. The measurement system of synchro' s azimuth is designed based on a new-style MCU MSP430Fe42x produced by TI. . The controller of the system is a DSP(digital signal processor) which can produce the PWM pulse signals which drive the convertor simply and rapidly.This dissertation describes the design of controller. It includes the design of circuit and programming. The main content is following: 1, According to the principle of the double-pipe selsyn system, a measurement system of synchro' s azimuth is designed. It has a standard conversion inter (SPI), which makes it provide a digital position angle of high precision to core control module in time.2, Designing a core controller module based on DSP. It not only provides the standard interface, which connects to conversion module, it also can protects control system and dispaly many parameters of system. 3, Developing optimum control stratagem by comparing many control stratagems based on the control characteristic of the following-up system System realizes the self—adaptive control due to adopting forward-feedback and feed back multiple control stratagems.
