There are realistic significances about the study of the Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) and the control of air conditioning system. Analyses the present development of this field choosing the technique based on Fuzzy theory as research method.According to the characters of FDD and the control of air conditioning system, obtains the paradigms aggregate of general faults by experiment simulation in the FDD aspect. Establishes the model of FDD using Fuzzy Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FFDD).Uses new samples of fault experiment simulation to prove the validity of this model and gives measures to general faults. Presents the methods to solve the incorrect diagnosis and the neglected diagnosis. Presents the fault prediction model based on time series. Establishes a target model for an air conditioning room in our laboratory. Uses the method of time series to predict the air conditioning cooling load of that room one day. In the control aspect, presents a new control method to Variable Air Volume (VAV) system of double fuzzy predictive control based on cooling load prediction. Simulates the process of double fuzzy predictive control using the computer language of Matlab and Simulink module. Compares it with the simulation result of general control method of PID. The new control method gets a perfect control result. Solves the difficult problem to control VAV system very well.
