Electrorheological technology is a new and marginal science, electrorheological fluid is a kind of smart material, with the control of external applied electric field, its coefficient of viscosity and shear yield stress can rapidly change, and this process is controllable, continuous, and reversible. With its particular performance, electrorheological fluid can be used as controllable damping media, which bring a promising way to research the semi-active engine mount system.Combining with the making of electrorheological fluid and the design, research of electrorheological engine mount, following works have been completed.1. From the development of engine mount and its researching course, presents and discusses the development, status and the engineering application of electrorheological fluid, expatiates the purpose of this paper, and list the main content which should be researched.2. From the compose of electrorheological fluid and the requirement of performance, use a kind of fine powder of modified titania(TiO2) doped by La as the dispersed phase, use dimethyl silicone oil with the additive of dimethyl sulphoxide as the base fluid, confect a kind of electrorheological fluid.3. In order to test the performance of electrorheological fluid, make a controllable high voltage power supply, which can export the continuous high voltage with the range of 010KV, and test the performance of it, it is also the external applied electric field.4. Testing the performance of electrorheological fluid confected above.5. Through the research of the mechanism of electrorheological fluid, analyze the shear yield stress of electrorheological fluid in the electric field6. According to the character of engine's vibration, design the structure of electrorheological engine mount, and analyze the model of it.7. By the bond graph, modeling the electrorheological engine mount and simulate to analyze the performance of it.
