In this paper, a centrifugal pump is employed to study the steady-state performance. The theoretical and experimental research and the numerical simulation are introduced while the discharge angle of the vane is changed.By analyzing interior flow rules, the relative motion momentum equation and infinite vane theoretical head equation are established. The functional relation of the variety parameters of the centrifugal pump is described by means of the dimensional analysis method.According to the theoretical head equation, the pump interior loss can be brought forward. The more impeller outlet angle is adopted to lessen the mechanical loss, while the less outlet angle is adopted to lessen the hydraulic loss. The affects of impeller outlet angle on the pump efficiency illustrate the importance of the proper choice on the discharge angle.Due to the theoretical head equation, the influence of the impeller outlet angle on the flow-head characteristic curve is analyzed. The relationship between the head curve slope and the outlet angle is determined to be a rule of judging camel-back in the property curve. The centrifugal characteristic testing system is designed, installed and modulated. The test devices are chosen. The test appliance performance, the data and method are introduced. The experimental data are analyzed systematically. When the vane angle changed to some extend, the characteristic parameters can meet with different working conditions. Furthermore it can be used in a controlled scope. With the help of numerical simulation software, the experimental pump impeller is modeled. The steady state numerical simulation on three-dimension space is carried out according to the control equations and turbulent models. The interior flow condition is presented to inspect the hydraulic designation.
