Some traditional filter arithmetic have been widely used in tracking problem. These filter arithmetic meet many difficulties, however, in the practical situation. Some performance specifications such as rapidity, robustness are not be met well. It may degrade the performance of a tracking algorithm.In this paper, on the actual project background, we study Satisfactory Filter, which is based on Satisfactory Control, with the performance specifications required from the actual project. Besides, A white noise observation model is widely used in tracking problem formulation. In practice, the measurement noise may not be white. It is correlated in time and in position. So we should study the Satisfactory Filter with correlated noise.The following is the main content of the paper:1. In the beginning of the paper, the target being researched about is declared to be the planes that are in cruising state, then the movement model and observation model of the target are proposed.2. Analyze the performance specifications required from the actual project. Then study the Satisfactory Filter arithmetic by LMI.3. The statistic traits of the measurement noise as an AR process or MA process is studied. With the state augmentation approach and the measurement difference approach, the effect of colored noise can be alleviated.4. Finally, the tracking performances in four noise conditions are compared via practical data, and analyze the performance specifications in the Satisfactory Filter.
