The ramjet engine has many advantages such as simple structure, light weight, little volume, big ratio of pushing and gravity, low cost, and etc. The ramjet shell takes on a very important place in the field of cannonball of improved range because of its large cannon-shot and high effect-fee proportion. So it is of very important science meaning and practice value to simulate the circle flow field of the ramjet shell. This paper uses the FLUENT software to simulate the circle flow field of the common shell and the ramjet shell of 4 types under each work conditions. Contrasting with the common shell will be a good way to study influences on aerodynamics which owes to the changes of the ramjet shell' s shape.Firstly, the mathematical and physics models of 2D and 3D circle flow field were set up in the paper, basing on the characteristics of the ramjet shell. This model can simulate the structure of the flow field exactly. Secondly, we can get clear structures of the flow field by the simulation. And that would be very helpful for us to analyze the characteristics of the flow field and to find the factors affecting the flow field. Finally, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the drag index, the lift index and the pressure center of the ramjet shell. The conclusions can be helpful to the project design of the ramjet shell.
