The optimal control of the water system in an air conditioning system is to optimize controlled variables under the premises that the energy of the system is minimized. Based on artificial neural network combined with genetic algorithm, this paper identifies model of water system. It simplifies the problem and ensures the precision of the model. After the model is set up, the ability of genetic algorithm that it can search overall situation is used to keep running efficiency of the air conditioning water system being at optimum condition by optimizing running parameters under specific cooling load.This paper also analyzes the thermal property of water temperature changing in terminal AHU(air handling units) and refrigeration unit and expatiates the influence on the cooling load, ability of wet removing of the terminal AHU and performance of the refrigeration unit. The running scheme of changing water temperature is made out according to the characteristics of air conditioning system and outside weather condition. By analyzing and calculating the example, it proves that this scheme can satisfy the inside humidity demand in normal comfortable air conditioning systems and the effect of energy saving is also evident.
