No-fines concrete is a new type engineering material with the use of bearingand penetration and filter, it is concrete composed of coarse aggregate and water and cement with many holes, it has no fines, through coarse aggregate's surface covered by a thin layer grout felting each other, it forms structure as beehive with equal distributing and it has some intensity and penetrability. In highway and railway and water conservancy, no-fines concrete can be used as the structure of drain and filter of seep channel and seep pipe and withstanding wall to replace complex constructed filter layer and seepage structure, and it can bear some load, it has good characters of percolation and filter and stability, and of simple and convenient construction, and economizing material. The author has studied the properties of no-fines concrete through experiment, and analysed seepage on no-fines concrete applied in roadbed of highway, and raised some applications in highway link to actual engineering.First, the author has adopted orthogonal experiment method to carry out research on resistance press and mix proportion and percolation of no—fines concrete with aggregate's diameter of 10~ 20mm and 5~10mm and 2.5~5mm, and analysed the main factors effecting on intensity and percolation of no—fines concrete, the mix proportion for practice is raised.Second, refer to gravel' s filter rules, the author has brought forward the filter design norms of no-fines concrete as filter layer through filter experiment by no-fines concrete protecting different kinds of soil, The filter design norms of no-fines concrete as filter layer are raised. In addition, the author has deduced groundwater seepageequation of roadbed of setting different egis slope, and analysed the height of soakage line inside of roadbed of setting different egis slope. It is concluded that no matter what roadbed is in steady seepage or unsteady seepage, it is more avail to drain of roadbed using better penetration materials (such as no-fines concrete etc) than using weak penetration material s(such as slurry rock etc). In the end, the author has raised parts of projects of using no-fines concrete in drain of road surface edge and inside of roadbed, and experiments of a section of road has proved that the projects are very good.
