The technology of remote fault diagnosis based on WWW(World Wide Web) is developed following the quick development of network. It is one new technology. It combines the traditional fault diagnosis technology with the computer science and network- communicating technology. With the increase of the complicacies and veracities of fault diagnosis about mechanical equipment, the old personal computer system of fault diagnosis and the system of fault diagnosis local based could not finish the diagnostic work well. So the research and application of the technology of remote fault diagnosis system based on WWW become more and more exigent and important. The building of the Remote Fault Diagnosis System (RFDS ) becomes a inevitable tendency.In this thesis, we firstly analyses current status and the developing trends offault diagnosis at home and abroad, and draw a conclusion that it is necessary and urgent to design the remote diagnosis system . According to the characteristics of remote fault diagnosis system and comparing the current e system structure of RFDS, the thesis presents the system structure of RFDS based on B/S model and introduces the basic working principle of RFDS.Next, the thesis applies the theory of the expert system and the fuzzy mathematics to establish the model of fuzzy fault diagnosis and designsthe remote fault diagnosis system based on the fuzzy determination, which is applied to the LTU 90A paver.After that, the thesis introduces the application of web-based database technology and designs the fault datasheet. It also builds the expert system of fault diagnosis.Fanally, the thesis establishes a web size of remote fault diagnosis, which runs as B/S model. The users can access the web site to accomplish the remote fault diagnosis of mechanical equipment whenever and wherever. The experiments show that the Remote Fault Diagnosis System works well and has a good application tendence.
