Taking the harmonic attenuation of the power distribution network at the Smeltery of Guixi as the object of study, the paper aims to research the algorithms of harmonic detection and control stratigies for active power filter based on digital signal processor, which would improve the real-time characteristics and the systematic dynamic performances, realizing to restrain the harmonic of the power system effectively.Firstly, the paper briefly presents the current situation and trends of active power filter. After comparasion of the existing active power filter structures for high voltage power system, a novel Resonant Type Hybrid Active Power Filter(RTHAPF) is proposed here to meet requests of the Smeltery harmonic elimination, and its functions is analyzed in detail. According to the characteristics of the digital signal processor, the reasons of some harmonic detection methods which are not suitable for the actual project are given, and then the design and implementation of a new harmonic current computation technique for active power filter based on a simplified Discrete Fourier Transform is presented. The computation processing using a sliding-window iterative algorithm can efficiently calculate the instantaneous harmonic components in real time. According to the character of re-period of current harmonics with steady-load in power system, the paper presents an algorithm of Pi-type iterative learning control applied for hybrid active power filter with a forgetting factor to enhance system robustness, and introducing a feed forward based D-type learning law of fuzzy inferenced current error to improve its tracking precision under the optimal object. At the last, the paper describes the process of the equipment development and its results used in spot.
