A mini and lowcost Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SINS) is designed, which can be used for civilian. With ARM7CPU and CycloneFPGA IC as the cores of hardware system, software and hardware designed and debuged for SINS high-speed real time data process is realized.Firstly, the engineering background and significance in this field is analyzed, especially on the mechanism of the system.Secondly thehardware design is analyzed. Appropriate sensors are selected according to the characteristic for mini and lowcost. The design of circuit of power, sensor signal sample, computer and so on are analyzed.Thirdly, both software designs based on VC platform and actual hardware platform are analyzed . Functional definition, UI design, flow chart and final simulateing figure are shown for VC platform. Functional definition, flow chart, block of FPGA are shown for actual hardware platform.Finally,the system error derived from the error of sensor, sensor-setting and computing are analyzed.
