The fiber-reinforced concrete is a kind of new complex material. The material has excellent capability to restrain bend, crack and bear fatigue. Based on the analysis of the fiber-reinforced concrete theory and application at home and abroad , systematical research is carried out about the techniques of fiber-reinforced concrete used in the construction of road-surface and the job mix fomula considering climate , material supply and present damage condition in concrete road in Huizhou city. The paper presents the evaluating method and the mechanism of physical and mechanical performance of concrete denatured by polypropylene fiber.Systematical experiments on polypropylene fiber named Forta Ferro made in America are carried out to compare with other good polypropylene fibers. Through orthogonal experiment the good ratio of fiber-concrete suited for the concrete pavement in Huizhou city considering the standard and experience. The paper compares and analyses different strength (such as compressive strength, tensile strength, punching strength etc) of some fiber-concrete. Since durability and performance are the most important property affecting the life of fiber-reinforced concrete pavement, a lot of experiments and all-round analysis were done to durability. In order to find the the mechanism of concrete denatured by polypropylene fiber, SEM test is carried out to analyze microcosmic structure. Mercury porosimetry tset is carried out to explore the gradation of hole.The test pavement of Forta Ferro fiber-reinforced concrete is constructed to verify the results of experiment. The results from experiments and test pavement indicate that polypropylene fiber-reinforced concrete has excellent improvements on performance, durability and life extended of conerete pavements. The results of the article will enhance the fiber-reinforced concrete application in the pavement engineering.
