With rapid development of digital technology in communication , computer, aviation & space flight, information transmission, medical electronics, power supply of digital circuits are presenting the features of low voltage and large current , voltage is from 3.3V to 1.5V, current is up to 100A. The above requirements must demand power system high efficiency,high power density, small volume, high reliability, long life, modeled power. The soft switch technology and active clamp technology may improve the converting efficiency, but they are complex. This article will offer you a DC/DC module power supply , which is of simple hard switch forward converter topology configuration. It is easy to industrialization.The forward converter topology is used widely in DC/DC module ,which can transfer 500W power. In technology, It adapt RCD, winding core reset, duty cycle is less than 50% due to the limitation of core safeguard reset and transformer saturation, So resulting to narrow input and low utilization of transformer , rectifier, high MOSFET. But the above questions will be solved if the MAX duty cycle decreases when input voltage increases. Synchronous rectifier is the best way of improving efficiency of DC/DC, Self- synchronous rectifier is only suitable to narrow input and low voltage output, it's efficiency become low because of conducting body diode. synchronous rectifier IC may workout the above questions.LT1952 is from Linear in recent time. LT1952 is current mode PWM controllers optimized to control the forward converter topology. It can provide synchronous rectifier , resulting in high efficiency. A programmable Volt-second clamp provide a safeguard for transformer reset that prevents saturation . LTC3900 is asecondary-side synchronous rectifier driver , The chip drives N-channel MOSFET and accepts pulse synchronization from primary-side controller via a pulse transformer,,The first.
