Silver Antimicrobial Material In The Source Water

The safety water is important for people's health. Once the drinking water encounter the safety problem, would result in serious consequence. The common disinfecting ways of drinking water includes free chlorine, chloramine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, UV and membrane etc. With advanced water quality criterion, these ways meet new challenge, but on the other hand, the criterion of disinfecting and disinfecting by-product limit the dosage of them in water, thus pathogenetic microorganism can not be effectively removed, so it is necessary to prepare a new antiseptic material which is used to deal with the drinking water.Diatomite which is burned on high temperature and molecular sieve is effective to get rid of the bacterium of the water, but small amount of bacterium can stick to the surface of them, cause the number of bacterium go beyond the criterion of drinking water. So we take ways to deal with diatomite and molecular , perfect their property, and prevent the reproduce of bacterium on them, thus spread their use in disinfect water.We prepared material carrying silver by a vacuum heating decomposition which make silver adhere to the surface of the material, and enhance their apply effect. The effect of preparing conditions on silver content of material carrying silver was studied, and find the best conditions for preparing diatomite carrying silver and silver molecular sieve. Analysis the structure feature of silver material through XRD, and the results prove the form of silver which adhere to the silver material is metal silver, and it's diameter smaller than 40nm.It's necessary to study the durability and safety of the antiseptic material because we use them to disinfect the source of drinking water. First, burn the silver material on 200 ℃, 400 ℃, 600 ℃, 800 ℃, then analysis the structure of them through XRD, results prove that the mineral of them is not disappear, and there are not new material produced, and high temperature burned control the content of silver in water, the content decreased with the increase of temperature.Next , circulating soakingsilver material with water, test the content of silver of water, the tests proved that the diatomite carrying silver and silver molecular sieve possess good^ stable inhibiting effect. Finally, test the silver content in water , and the content is lower 50ug/L, and meet the criterion of nation's drinking waterThe water of BaiShaHe (the number of bacterium is 0.8 -1.8xlO3/mL,Escherichia coli is 2900-4200/L) was adopted to check the effect of kill bacterium. After the tests , the diatomite carrying silver and silver molecular sieve have obvious effect to get rid of the bacterium of the water, and meet the criterion of nation's drinking water(the number of bacterium lower than 100/mL), and the number of Escherichia coli is zero. In the begin of filter, the silver content is high , but the silver content tend to stable with the prolong of filter time and the silver content conform to the criterion of nation's drinking water.
