Sonar Target Simulation System Based On Pci Bus

The sonar target simulator system is an important testing device playing an important role in sonar design, manufacture and manipulation. It can simulate the system echo data employing proper target model and send it to the peripheral equipments through hardware units, aiding sonar developer and maintainer for studying and testing actual sonar system.For the topic of study and design the sonar target simulator configured for one sonar system, the application background and performance requirement are firstly introduced with the system structure and mainly technical parameters, the characters of the target echo and track in all operating modes are then analyzed, subsequently the design scheme of the whole system is presented with the realization and debugging of the software and hardware, finally the conclusion and expectation of the study work of this thesis are presented.The detailed work consists of:(1) Studying the concept, structure and function of this sonar target simulator as well as the generating mechanism of target echo and simulation of the target track.(2) Analyzing the technical parameters of the sonar target simulator, based on which proposing the whole design scheme with investigation and performance analysis.(3) Designing and realizing both the software and hardware of the simulator.(4) Debugging both the software and hardware of the simulator. Meanwhile the reason analysis and solving method is given to the problem arisen in debugging process.
