Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on sensitized TiO2 nanocrystalline with photoexcited dye molecules have been investigated intensively because of their low cost and potential alternative to traditional photovoltaic devices. It makes sense in research dye-sensitized solar cells not only in the aspect of groping the manufacture way for low cost and high performance solar cells but also in the aspect of its scientific values in the fields such as semiconductor photoelectronics, nanometer porous materials, organic electrolytes and photo-electric chemistry. In this paper, different kinds of gel electrolytes were researched in order to discuss the mechanism of gel electrolytes and the affect of gel electrolytes on the performance of quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells. A kind of organic iodide was also synthesized and used in gel electrolytes. It was compared with the inorganic iodide in their performance in gel electrolyte and quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells.(1) Gel polymer electrolytes based on poly (acrylonitrile-co-styrene) as polymer matrix and N-methyl pyridine iodide salt and NaI as I- source were prepared. The performance of organic iodide and inorganic iodide in both gel polymer electrolytes and quasi-solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells was discussed. Compared with two kinds of iodide, it is found... |
