With the development of modern industry, higher performance requirements have put forward for the control of hydraulic servo system, at the same time the system must be adaptive to bad environment. According to the change of electro-hydraulic elements and control elements ( servo valve, proportioning valve or digital valve) and backlash producing some nonlinear factors or hard nonlinearity, non-smooth .A kind of new controller provided with good nonlinear performance has been designed .This paper comes from the design of the type of electro-hydraulic sever system.The main contents of this paper include the hardware design of the servo system, software programming and the adjustment of the whole system. The part of the hardware emphasizes on the design of the servo amplifier, and presents the model of the servo system. And considering the uncertain factors that the system may meet during the operation, the intelligent PID control algorithm is employed when devise the controller of the system to compensate disturbances and unordered factors of the system. Finally, simulation and experiments are done many times in order to get good results.The results of simulations and experiments show that the intelligent controller is self-adaptive and has the robust character for the change of the model parameters, and the outside inferences and load variation can be retained effectively.
