Is there a new, highly efficient and credible method to meet the need of optimization calculation when models of big system engineering problems are more and more complicated? Is there an efficient optimization scheme for random dynamic physical process? Is there a highly efficient and credible optimization method by applying modern high technology to change the status, which vehicle suspension parameters are selected depending on experience and field test? Response Surface Methodology which will be researched in the thesis supplies a new approach to solve the problems above. Essential idea of the method is as follows: firstly low powers polynomials are used to approach complex and unbeknown functions; and then statistical measures will be used to check up whether the polynomials are fit enough. When the effect achieves request, we will continue to find next optimization point according to linear search or quadratic optimization methods and father we will get a reasonable optimization point in global range.Although there are other people who have been researching Response Surface Methodology, they didn't present complete steps or a detailed algorithm. Besides, it's a new application aspect that the method is applied in vehicle dynamic field and is used to optimize vehicle suspension parameters.
