Dye-sensitized TiO2 solar cell (DSSC) is the third generation of photoelectric chemical solar cell with simple preparation procedure, low cost, stable photo-to-electric performance and friendly environment amity, which make it a good alternative of photon-to-electron devices for solar cell. Recently, many efforts have been focusing on the enhancement of the photoelectric conversion efficiency and the improvement of stability of DSSC.Aiming at the problems above, the TiO2 film was prepared by hydrothermal methods, the sensitizer dyes were extracted from natural product, and the gel polymer electrolyte were synthesized in this paper. The influence of preparation technics on the conversion efficiency of the DSSC was discussed. Using a liquid or gel electrolyte as a hole transfer medium, the DSSCs with 4.31 % or 2.75 % global photon-to-electron conversion efficiency was obtained, respectively. Main conclusions are shown as follow:(1) The TiO2 nanocolloid was prepared by hydrothermal and sol-gel method. The films with different area and thickness were prepared by coating the nanocolloid on a conducting glass. The crystal structure, particle size, morphology and absorption spectrum of the TiO2 film were measured. The photoelectronic performance of the DSSC is investigated by I-V curve. And an optimum hydrothermal condition is obtained. Webby Printing is a better way with higher efficiency, good repeatability and large-scale operation to produce TiO2 film.
