Most experiment researches and earthquake damage indicate that under the effect of earthquake, the collapse of building is always due to failure of reinforced concrete columns which can be prevented by improving the ductility of concrete columns. There are many engineering methods to improve the quality of columns. Using Concrete Filled Steel Tubular Columns and Steel Encased Concrete Columns will make more effectiveness. There is a kind of new mode reinforced concrete columns is improved in the article, which is Concrete Frame Columns with Central Reinforcement.Based on the experimental study on one Reinforced concrete column and four Concrete Frame Columns with Central Reinforcement with high axial compression ratio under horizontal cyclic loading, this paper described the process of destroy and studied the test results of each specimen, including V- △ hysteresis curve, skeleton curve and displacement ductility ratio, etc.. , analyzed the major factors affecting the ductility of Concrete Frame Columns with Central Reinforcement. The test and analysis results show that area of core column is major factors affecting both the ductility and earthquake resistance of concrete frame columns; volumetric tie ratio and longitudinal reinforcement ratio of central reinforcement are also affected both the ductility and earthquake resistance of concrete frame columns. Using bigger area of core column, large volumetric tie ratio and longitudinal reinforcement ratio are important measures to ensure good seismic ductility of concrete frame columns with central reinforcement at a high level of axial compression ratio. Moreover, the procedure of moment of flexure and curvature to study the ductility ability of Concrete Frame Columns with Central Reinforcement is worked out. Numerical calculation shows that the result of procedure and testing is concordant.
