Holding the quantity along with our country automobile the rapidincrease, the automobile gradually is entering the family, becomes thepeople to live a part. From the stream of vehicles which creates crowded andthe vehicles are high speed, set a higher request to the vehicles securityperformance. Therefore, it has extremely Important practical significance tostrengthen research on the test theory and the test technology of theautomobile various systems and unit, to keep the automobile technologycondition in a good condition and to enhance the transportation security. Onthe basic of introducing the elementary theory of automobile wheel sidesliptest, this paper analyzes emphatically the mechanism which the automobilesteering wheel sideslip produces, then discovers the relations between thelocalization parameter and their corresponding side force. Next, throughanalyzing the characteristic of motion of the single-plated side-slip testerand the linked double-plated slide-slip tester, the paper proves that abovetwo kinds of Side-slip test racks are not suit for testing sideslip of theindependent suspension fork vehicles steering wheel. Finally, according tothe problems of present using sideslip test racks which can not test thesteering wheel sideslip of independent suspension fork vehicles, this paperdesigns a test platform suiting for testing steering wheel sideslip of vehicleswith independent suspension, which its two boards can move independentlyas well as are divided into three parts. And then the stepped design principlecarries on the explanation.
