Because of their simple structure, high reliability and convenient maintenance squirrel cage induction motors are widely used in many aspects. Owing to various stresses and natural aging, faults may often occur when squirrel cage induction motors work. The faults will not only destroy the motors themselves, but also influence the normal operation of the whole system, even endanger personal safety and cause enormous economic losses. Therefore, the analysis and detection on the asynchronization motor appears especially important. According to the analysis and detection, we can discover the faults in time, prevent further deteriorations, reduce the losses caused by a sudden emergency ,cut down the cost of maintenance, prevent the security threats to the security of researchers and equipments, and provide conditions for the overhaul of the machine. Also, it can offer some experience to the designers and manufacturers, accumulate the datum, and provide some important information for the improvement and reliability of machinery performance. In this paper the work done by the previous researchers is generalized systematicaly. The research aims at the methods of analyzing and detecting the interior faults in asynchronization motors, and the research work mainly includes the following parts:With the views of electromagnetic and electrical theory, the symptom responded to the motor's typical faults is provided. Furthermore, their features are discussed.Based on the fact that parameters of motors will change as the results of interior faults, the induction model for interior fault is constructed through establishing the relationship between interior faults and parameters of motor in EMTDC. The simulation mainly aims at the rotor bar breaking and the inter-turn fault of the stator winding, and also the result of simulation is analyzed. The result shows that the model is correct in some sense. The analysis proves that EMTDC can provide a simulation environment for internal diagnosis.Three detecting methods are introduced for the problem that the side frequency...
