As the rapid progress in people's living condition and the greying of Chinese population, cardiovascular diseases are becoming the most dangerous threats to our people's health . Heart is the source of blood circulation, working as a nonstop engine, it goes with the whole life of every person. As one of the most common body inspects and examinations, Electrocardiogram(ECG) is accepted by most of people and hospitals for its convenience to measure. As a result, it plays an important role in examining and inspecting heart's organism and mechanism, and in helping people or patients to be treated advisably.However, ECG analysis by professional doctors needs lots of time, and to some extent, it is subjective and maybe lead to an error diagnosis. So by the aid of Computer that is powerful in data processing, the analysis of ECG will become faster and more accurate, so it is necessary to developing Computer analysis system of ECG. Nowadays the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology develops very rapidly and new theories and arithmetic come out, it has been a hot topic to apply them to ECG automatic analysis.Working as a whole system, the items and functions that should be included in Computer automatic analysis of ECG should be as follows: ECG data acquisition, ECG data storage, High resolution ECG standard database with doctor's annotations, Electronic documents of patients, automatic analysis and diagnosis, and finally giving the prescription as reference according to the diagnosis results.After studying and summarizing the existing theories and methods, this paper studies some new theories and methods appearing recently , and apply them to automatic analysis of ECG.. Through lots of experiments ,we have gotten our preliminary success. In this paper, will automatic analysis system of ECG be described in three segments as follows.1. Pretreatments of ECG: Fistly, three common kind of noise of ECG are introduced, and classical denoising methods are also described respectively. Then, the denoising methods used in this paper which is called 'adaptive wavelet transform denoising method' is described particularly.
