Detonator is an important part of the cartridge booster train and is the very necessary primer unit during the engineering blasting, so its output is one of the important properties of detonator. It is very important to the design of detonator and the control on producing and testing of detonator that a dynamic measurement is searched which can test the detonator output applied, rapidly, quantitatively . In this paper, based on the analysis of the measurements on the output of detonator at the domestic and foreign research filed, the intelligent measurement that can measure the detonator output is established introducing the energy conversion equipment and the several advanced technologies such as piezoelectric sensor, signal processing, the high-speed data collecting and processing. On the basis of this measurement, piezoelectric stress testing system is developed. Several kinds of fire detonator and stab detonator are tested by this mew measurement system, and the test results show that the system has characteristics of good stability, high sensitivity and veracity on detonator output and can reflect the change of charge and configuration very well and can provide scientific warrant for detonator design, performance analysis and the design of booster train. This new testing system has characteristics of small size, simple structure and convenient operation. The canceling of the leading can dispel the harm except the harm of detonator blast, the repeatable using of the sensor of the measurement system can reduce the test cost . So the new measurement system in this paper that is designed reasonably can measure the detonator output applied, rapidly and quasi-quantitatively.
