This paper mainly researches the realization of the ground navigation station system of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). And program the software of this system. This station offers navigation services such as displaying, and marking out the track of UAV. Besides, this system can also master the navigation database, and calculate the elevation of the ground. In addition, some primary research for the engineering application of mode recognize had been done. This research task had deal with several computer techniques such as GIS, database, LAN, arithmetic realization, and so on.The ground navigation station display the track on the digital map, and storage navigation information in the database, and communicate with the ground control station through the Ethernet. This article had solved 5 important technique problems in order to realize the whole system. First, put forward the method to automatic cruise the digital map, and draw tracks on the customer layer of the digital map so that the tracks can be kept secularly. Second, access the database with the Data Access Object (DAO) mode as amelioration for the old version software which access data through text files. The problems such as time-query different meanings, the different command format between Access and SOL had been solved. Third, the communication function had been perfect, and the system could adapt the interrupt of the network. Several ameliorations about the structure of network and the content had been given and some of them had been realized. Fourth, established the Digital Elevation Modal (DEM) through different GIS develop plat roof: MapInfo, ArcGIS. Fifth, realized mode recognize with C++ language based on Hough transform.The test after solving problems forward had worked out that the ground navigation station could tail the track exactly and display the track well, the access of the database was conveniently, and the communicate channel was more reliable, and the DEM could help to confirm safe aviation height of the UAV. All the research work had made the function of the navigation station more perfect, it can work well with good real-time performance.
