In recent years, the sedan has been gradually moving towards thousands of families, the automobile capacity increases year by year, and the dissension by traffic accident also increases day by day. Along with the enhancement of people's law consciousness, a higher accuracy is required on the responsibility of traffic accident judgment. The traditional treatment of traffic accident on the road is insufficiency, moreover, the precision is low and it's apt to leak the scales. That will bring the nonessential trouble to the following accident responsibility determine. In order to improve the accuracy of accident measuring data, this paper attempt to obtain information from photographs.This paper discoursed on photogrammetry technology, which has very good foreground on application at present, after analyzing the method of dealing with traffic accident in our country and overseas. The author adopts 2-D analyzing method, and makes use of photographs to measure the important data on road traffic accident scene.Firstly, base on the production of digital photogrammetry technology and compute vision, establish a mathematical model which is the same with traffic accident surveying and mapping and analyses an exact and reliable compute method which is easy to achieve automatic calculate with compute program. The author calibrates the photographs using the calibrating-object for easy to fast measure the different traffic accident scene.Secondly, produce a calibrating-object which used to survey the traffic accident. Do a sheet of graph paper with AutoCAD software and output this paper according to the full size can obtain the each point's exact coordinate value. That can effectively reduce the influence of measuring-point's coordinate precision on measuring error.Thirdly, write the software code and test the software. This software includes the model of reading and showing accident photographs, picking up calibrating-point, calibrating and calculating, picking up measuring-point, calculating the world coordinate of calibrating-point, and mapping the accident scene.Finally, check up this software. Through the test of calibrating model, the influence on measuring error of calibrating-object's dimension, photograph position, and calibrating-point's distribution is analyzed. Through the simulative traffic accident test, the practicability of this software is validated. All indicate that this software can bear data measuring on the traffic accident scene in a certain extent, and supply some indispensable data for analyzing the traffic accident.
