| In this dissertation, a study of novel numerical simulation method for diesel engine working process is made, and numerical simulation for a certain type of diesel engine working process is carried out. The main research work as follows: Firstly, considering diesel engine working principle and structural properties, this dissertation analyzes its working process, establishes its physical and mathematical models. The quasi-dimensional combustion model is used in cylinder, and the differential equation groups are solved with Runge-Kutta method. At the same time, the one-dimensional unsteady gas flow model is used for intake andexhaust manifold system, and a novel numerical method——CE/SE (Space-timeConservation Element and Solution Element) Method is introduced to solve the partial differential equation groups. Secondly, according to the above computational model, a numerical simulation program for diesel engine working process is developed. Lastly, a variety of experiments is carried out on a certain type of diesel engine. The comparison between the calculated and measured parameters shows that the coincidence is quite satisfactory. The physical and mathematical models may be considered as correct, and can be used to do further research in this type of engine and the similar ones. |
