With its comprehensive advantages such as the high speed , large transport capacity , low energy consumption , light pollution , less occupation of the land , high safety and comfort performance , the high speed railway has been developed all over the world . Facing the new situation of passenger special line and railway's improved speed , we have to further study on the track structure and line's dynamic response .This paper's background is track with ballast which is used on the line of France high speed railway . At first, the paper construct the mode of ballast track through analyzing the track's constituents and its general structure .Secondly , the ballast track's vertical dynamic characteristics are analyzed by means of the finite element method's software-ANSYS . The paper has compared the railway line's dynamic response in the condition of different velocity of the train . The paper has verified the feasibility of train's wheeling on the ballast line with the speed of 200 km/h . And then ,the paper has offered the cushion's suggested stiffness of the track through the emulation of the cushion's stiffness'alteration influencing railway's dynamic characteristics . Finally , the paper has presented some recommendations in the means of the dynamics'hysteretic nature of the railway line because of the ballast track's mutational stiffness. The paper summarizes the main studying work in the end. It has presented some recommendations of the ballast track's design and stiffness'matching type. The paper can supply some reference theory to domestic existed railway's improving speed and railway's converting.
