| Jiuli river pump station is one of projects for flood prevention and drainage in Wuxi city. It is particularly low-head pump station, install 2200ZLBl5-2 vertical axial flow pump of the impeller diameter 2.2m in three sets. The designed total capacity is 45m3/h. The designed head is 1.48m and 1.42m respectively. The pump station adopts the plane volute (bell) inlet passage and tank outlet passage. Its structure is novel.The domestic large low-head pump stations generally use elbow inlet passages and siphon outlet passages. Later, bell inlet passages and straight outlet passages are in vogue. But bell inlet passage and tank outlet passage is rare. There are plenty of contents to be worth studying.In this paper, the study is divided into two major parts. One is that selects bell inlet passage height (or clearance from floor) as research object, because it is influence to the project cost highly and has more disputes. Two is that chooses flared pipe height (or clearance from top board) and behind wall distance, behind wall shape of tank outlet passage as study contents. Through in-depth research to try to discover the rule of relevant factors influence the flow channel performance.At present, three major methods of scientific research are: theoretical analysis, experimental measurements and numerical simulation. The advantage of theoretical analysis is that its result is universal and various influence factors is clear. It is theory base of experimental measurements and numerical simulation. But it is usually very difficult to obtain the analytical solution. The result of measurement is true and reliable. It is basis and verification means of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. But limited by all sorts of conditions, it is very difficult to launch the necessary experiment sometimes. The numerical simulation has overcome front two method shortcomings, realizes a specific computation on the computer, seem to do a physical experiment. And can get the integrity data, but its realization needs the theory to support; the authenticity needs the experiment to prove.In this paper, experimental measurements and numerical simulation are combined. Data is verified both. Try to find the law and to summarize the experience.In this paper, 4 water conservancy physical model experiment schemes and 6 numerical simulation schemes are done on inlet; 12 water conservancy physical model experiment schemes and numerical simulation schemes are done on outlet. Physical models of inlet and outlet are made according to the similar principle; the hydraulic loss and some fluid state data are measured in the water conservancy experiment. In the numerical simulation, uses of the Reynold-average N-S equations and the standard k-εdouble equations simulation turbulent flow motion. Application finite volume method discrete control equations and the SIMPLEC algorithm solve system of equations. Finally obtains simulation computation results each kind of plan.The experiment and the computed results indicate that, the bell inlet passage height (or clearance from floor) has a reasonable range, the result of this study is h2/D0 = 0.5~0.8. It is better that the clearance from top board h2 of tank outlet passage is greater than 0.3D0. The behind wall distance must be appropriate and the behind wall shape may be the plane volute or the rectangle with circular arc chamfer. |
