Eliminating electric harmonics and improving the power factor is an important and practical subject in power electronics field. With the development of modern power electronics, microelectronics and computer simulation technique, space vector control theory (SVPWM) which originated in 1980s is combined with PWM rectifying technology to be used in three-phase power factor correction, and some great progress has been made.In this paper a three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifier is researched, and the basic content of space vector control theory is also analyzed. The working principle and commutation process of PWM rectifier is studied, and a method how to use a VSR to realize power factor correction is introduced. Furthermore, simulation models are established using MATLAB and Saber separately. Through the mathematic model of MATLAB and physical model of Saber, a comprehensive analysis of PWMVSR is made, and the parameters designing and setting methods are also introduced. Finally, the hardware circuits based on DSPLF2407 and IR2130 are also presented.
