| With the continual development of science and technology, the methods of design in internal combustion engines and their component have significant transformed, and follows the enhanced design quality the performance of internal combustion engine also obtain unceasing enhancement. The affection of the coolant flow in engine's cooling system focus on the cooling effective, heat load of the parts, the distribution and usage of heat energy. Meanwhile, the emissions of the engine are closely related to the coolant temperature. With the approaches to increase output power used perfectly improving cooling system have become the important tasks to design original engines. Now, the numerical simulation on the flow and heat transfer in engine water jacket becomes a principal method to optimum cooling system.This article has taken a section of four cylinder diesel engine cylinder head as the object for studying, has carried on the theoretical analysis to the cooling water three dimensional flow field, and designs rational experiment plan to get the temperature, the pressure on characteristic points of cylinder head cooling water jacket and the mass flow of cooling water jacket entrance to provide the accurate boundary condition for the CFD computation. According to the two-dimensional blueprint of diesel engine cylinder head, using three dimensional CAD software to establish the cylinder head cooling water flow field geometry model, and has taken the essential simplification as far as possible in the guarantee with the original water cavity consistent. The model is checked and meshed by the AVL FIRE front process FAME, subsequently, the flow fields are computed and displayed, and then the results are post-processed and analyzed all by FIRE.By the simulation calculation of fluid flow in cooling water jacket of diesel engine cylinder head, results show that the design is comparatively to be reasonable and can achieve the cooling effect. But it also has some deficiencies, mainly displays the mass flow is not too evenly and still had further to make the improvement.Through the three dimensional CFD numerical simulation of cylinder head cooling water jacket in diesel engine, we have got the massive flow field information and have offered certain theoretical foundation for development and improvement of the series diesel engines cylinder head. |
