| With the rapid development of railway in China, the mileage of interval and trans-section continuous railway of passenger transport and existing railway increased, the workload of on sides rail welding also increased. As a result of the complexity of natural environment and engineering condition, it was difficulty to control rail welding quality on sides. So it was important that systematically study on the technology and equipment of rail welding on sides.According to requirement of engineering in Qing-Zang continuous railway, welding on sides was carried out by advanced engineering carriage of flashing butt welding and miniature digital gas pressure welding with the conditions of plateau, oxygen lack, steep ramp. This paper contrastively analyzed quality and efficiency of rail welding, there were many shortcomings of structure, function and property in the welding machine. Such as, the great workload and weak efficiency in the operational mode of clamping rail and moving on sides welding machine. The function of welding machine was incomplete in tension, welding, thrust rim and normalization of holding pressure. The alignment of working edge or rail loin was weak. The property of rail welding machine was insufficient in rigidity, length of travel, upset force of tension, and the extent of locking temperature increased for rail. The method of rail welding was sensitive for material etc.The Pro/E software was used to design systemic rail welding machine of ameliorative scheme, the model, the part, the three-dimensional assembly after analyzing the merit of advanced on sides rail welding machine in order to satisfy the requirement of high quality, efficiency, safety, low cost and environmental protection. We successfully designed low-pressure miniature horizontal gas pressure rail welding machine, large-sized tong-type gas pressure rail welding machine and engineering carriage of gas pressure welding machine, it also presented the direction and technical content of innovating again on new rail welding equipment on sides. |
