With the rapid development of the economy in our country and the development of modern bridge science and technology, bridge structure forges ahead towards long span and high technology direction, and bridge construction has the common characters of limit time tight and high quality. In order to adapt to the development of economy and the bridge structure, the bridge construction technology will definitely run in the direction of large-scale-rization, machinization, accurate-rization and speediness.The Tianxingzhou bridge construction in Wuhan is the key project to the Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger-transport railway and the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu passenger-transport railway. The project with limit time and high quality requirement, suffers high velocity in the bridge site place, busy channel and big difference water level between being under construction in dry season and flood period.The paper proposes a new construction method of large-scale deepwater foundation erecting by floating, anchored pier to fix position, adjusting the elevation of the foundation according to the water level height, which improve the cofferdam allocation accuracy, construction safety, saving time and occupied channel range, and adjust the altitude of cofferdam top according to the water level of Yangtse River in flood period and dry season. Firstly, comparing with the traditional method, the merits and shortcomings of the new construction method are introduced, which turns out the necessity of using the new construction method.Secondly, analysis is done in the erecting by floating and the fixing system which turns out the feasibility of the new construction method.Thirdly, kinds of risk factors causing bad effects on quality, safety, scheduling and investment are analysed to get the probability (p) and the risk consequence happened (f). Then using disaster risk estimate matrix R=p×f risk level of affairs (R) are reached, and some risk countermeasures are proposed.Lastly, the application of the new construction method in the 2# pier construction of Tianxingzhou bridge is studied. At present, the application of the construction method is success. The accuracy of cofferdam allocation and the gradient of steel tube remain fine, which testifies the research of the new construction method is successful.
