With the development of economy and improvement of life standard, nowadays, thereare more and more vehicles in China, therefore, it is no doubt that a great deal of attention isbeing paid today to the quality of vehicle by both carmaker and buyer, and it is moreimportant during the after-sell process. Jiang Ling Motors Grop. LTD(JMC) is facing seriouscompetition. How to improve the quality of hole vehicle and parts is relate to the enterprise'sfate. As we know, a hole vehicle is composed of many parts. the good or bad of parts directlyinfluence the status of the hole vehicle. So resolving quality issue of parts is the key to thehole vehicle.This paper make six sigma's exertion as cut-in point by using six sigma to improve thequality of oil-water separator. seriously research and analysis the problem of Transit oil-waterseparator after-sell in the last few years. By using six sigma theory to analysis the faultdata, heighten the customer satisfaction degree and get a big economy benefit.To begin with, this paper introduce the auto oil-water separator's quality status and thisitem's background knowledge briefly, and then introduces the six sigma principle and theorybasic. then according to the market's characteristic and JMC's development goal, this paperuse six sigma's theory and measure to improve oil-water separator'squality ,making heightenthe customer satisfaction degree and reduce fault ratio and cost as jumping-off point, putforward reasonable improvement measure to oil-water separator. This item is not onlyaccomplish the improvement goal, but also will give a hand to the six sigma exertion in ourcompany in the future.This paper also makes prospect to six sigma's exertion and put forward reasonablesuggestion, in order to continue to advance the quality status of Transit parts, so as to reducethe fault ratio and service cost, and heighten competion capability of company.
