Modem large-capacity power system is supporting more than 90% of the world's power load. But the following drawbacks still exist: lack of flexibility when tracking changes in load; not being ideal power supply for remote areas' load; spreading of local accident quickly and leading to large-scale blackout in large interconnected power systems. The quality, reliability and security of the electricity supply have become increasingly demanding in today's society. Large power grids, because of its shortcomings, can not meet such request. Combination of Large power systems and distributed power generation systems can save investment, reduce energy consumption and improve the security and flexibility of the system. The article studied the status in the perspective of voltage sag.First this article introduced the basic concepts of distributed generation and voltage sag, analyzed the significance of developing distributed generation. Then it conducted a simulation of distribution network of Hangzhou, using PSS Adept, and studied the impact of the distributed generations to its voltage sag in distribution network. Basing on this conclusion, this paper proposed a new method to allocate the load-loss cost cause by voltage sag. Compared to traditional methods, it took into account the distributed generations' impact. So the new method makes the load-loss cost allocation more equitable, more comprehensive considerations.
