Compared with the traditional timberwork, masonry and reinforced concrete structure , steel structure has more advantages. Most of the petrochemical enterprises in the framework used steel structure. In practice, however the use of that exposed steel structure under fire for poor performance, without the protection ,its own temperature quickly reached 500 degrees and above, so that the mechanical properties of steel products decrease rapidly, cause the collapse of the whole structure and loss of secondary disasters. In order to improve the overall capacity of fire-resistant, to reduce losses of casualties and secondary disasters, there is a need for the steel frame fire protection and fire-resistant to undertake a study.Fire protection of steel frame include two aspects: the method of calculation of fire protection and fire prevention materials.In this paper, we study in the method of fire pr otection and made fire-resistant steel frame of the numerical method based on plastic li mit analysis theory. This mothod iterative based on calculation results of the finite elem ent, simulate the entire process. In this paper, we wrote a computer program use Fortran language for one-story one-bay steel frame analysis of fire-resistant.In this paper, lower bounds of plastic limit analysis theory first applied to the fire-resistant steel structure design, this method is simple, accurate and consider changes in temperature and constraints on the role of components, analysis for the response of the overall structure under fire, can simulate change of displacement, internal forces and structural forms of structure, identify location of plastic hinge and ultimate temperature that structure can be bear. Computation of this approach than other methods greatly reduced, the results can guide fire protection projects, such as: focusing on the key components to protect the weak, filling the deficiencies of the existing method that daub refractory coatings in most or all parts, saving construction costs, providing a new way for the calculation of fire-resistant steel structure, helping solve the fire performance-based design problems of petrochemical piperacks.
