About the implement on the small car of the electro mechanical braking system, this essay makes the description from development history, mathematic model building, computer simulation and experiment. As the control-by-wire technique becomes more mature, in more and more control system, information/data transferred by electrical is used to replace the traditional method which is transferred by mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic. This change which is caused by control-by-wire does not only affect the link method but also affect the driving structure/method and execution structure (electrification). Control-by-wire which is used more and more makes a new car structure appeared. Among all control method, electro mechanical braking system (EMB) is a new braking system. It is the revolution on power supply system and power transfer system of the braking. It cancels the traditional hydraulic braking system. The braking power is supplied by the electric motor. The intention from the driver is transferred by electrical. The execution structure is still the traditional braking system. There are periods of advantage in electro mechanical braking system of the car. It matches with the three main development themes which are safety, power-saving and environmental protection. Around the world, the EMB system is still in researching and developing phase. It is far away from production. In this case, the researching of the EMB can make the gap which is between our country and oversea in braking technique smaller. It can enhance our stated owned car competition ability. It is also significant for critical car parts development in our country. Through this essay, the history of the braking system, building the model of the EMB according to the parameter of one self-owned brand car for SAIC and the model of the car which is running on the flat road, simulation by MATLAB/SIMULINK can be found. About the efficacy, this essay makes the detail analyze for the open loop response of the EMB. It analyzes the reason and the effect of the braking and raise three evaluation methods and makes the hardware simulation of the braking. Through the experiment, using the PID control strategy as the EMB control method, according to the evaluation methods, this essay seeks the effect regulation which is controlled by the PID parameter and control time cycle. From the analyzing of the regulation which is affected by the control parameter, it analyzes the effect which is also affected by the EMB mechanical structure. This essay also points out that it is important for the EMB to use anti-interference method which we can use sampling and use the average value to decrease the high frequency interference from inner and outer. At last, this essay describes several modules programming flow charts of the EMB system which depends on the DSP system. Finally from several aspects such as the development of the controller and the optimization of the braking force strategy, development of the braking executing, sample car experiment, the researching of the credibility of the EMB, this essay raises the future working contents.
