According to the study on the parts of the slurry pump in domestic and abroad, this paper optimizies the component and structure of the parts of the slurry pump, confirms the material of the parts of the slurry pump which is more suitable for the mineral processing characteristic at the vanadium-titanium magnetite in the Mining Company of PG.Group and confirms a better heat treating technology of high-Cr cast iron to lengthen the useful time of the parts of the slurry pump and improve the disadvantageable status of production in the Mining Compnay of PG.Group by fully bringing into play the advantage of the resource of vanadium-titaninm and utilizing vanadium-titanium pig iron as the raw material.The parts trial-produced by using the existing technology of the lost wax casting in the Mining Company of PG.has been tested to reach the expected goal of the 2000-hour useful time.The structure of the designed high-Cr cast iron is composed of martensite,and little retained austenite,and M₇C₃ carbides.The content of Cr is about 28%,and The content of Cr/C is about 10%.Component of the high-Cr cast iron in the parts of the slurry pump is:in the ProjectⅠ,Cr 26%,C 2.6%,Mo 0.5%,Si＜1.0%,Mn＜0.5%,V 0.1%,Ti 0.01%;in the ProjectⅡ(suitable for the workpiece of the bigger size),Cr 28%,C 2.6%,Mo 0.5%,Si＜1.0%,Mn＜0.5%,V 0.1%,Ti 0.01%,Cu 1.0%.The heat treating technology of the ProjectⅠis 1000C°×2h quenching+400C°×2h tempering;the heat treating technology of the ProjectⅡis 1050C°×2h quenching+400C°×2h tempering.After the above-mentioned heat treating,the value of the impact toughness of the alloy,ak is above 7J/cm²;the hardness value of the alloy is above HRC60;the resisting erosion-wear ability of the material in the parts of the slurry pump is 1.5 times as nuch as others' which was used in the Mining Company of PG.
