As the developing of the microwave technology, more and higher performance dielectric materials were demanded. It has stimulated an efficient and accurate method to measure the characteristic of the dielectric material. The characteristic of the dielectric materials was showed by dielectric constantε′, loss tangent tanδand temperature coefficientτe and so on. The electrical parameters of the dielectric materials were the complex dielectric constant which was an important parameter of the dielectric material.This paper mainly focused on the measurement of the complex dielectric constant in the stripline resonator at variable temperatures. Firstly, the general development of the stripline resonator-measurement was introduced at variable temperatures. Secondly, the test theory was introduced. Moreover, the stripline resonator was stimulated by HFSS software. And the equivalent length of the open circuit endΔl (unite mm) was computed by the formulas. The datum was dealt with the least-squares procedure. Afterwards, the test system was designed and made. The parameters of test system were follows:Frequency range: 1~18GHz;Temperature range: -100~150℃;Measurement range:ε′= 2 ~ 25 tanδ= 5.0×10 ?4 ~1.0×10?2By comparison, the reliability, applicability and stability of the systeme were verified.The test results were analysised by the linear regression method. The dielectric constantε′and the loss tangent tanδwere obtained at the different frequency and temperature, the curve line figure were given.
