Choosing the friction pair of cylinder liner-piston ring as study subject, and typical internal-combustion engine producted by Kunming Yunnei Power Co., Ltd as specific engineering subject, the paper researches the influence of abrasives in lube on the wear of cylinder liner-piston ring. The paper is valuable in theory and practice.The paper analyzes causes of forming abrasives in the friction pair of cylinder liner-piston ring, and applies ferrography to observe and analyze the geometric shape of abrasives.The paper discusses relevant theory in abrasive wear, abrasive wear mechanism and its model; analyzes the influence different abrasives on wear properties of the the friction pair of cylinder liner-piston ring. It applies ANSYS10.0/LS-DYNA to analyze the process of particles inpressing the metal material surface and slidingit. Moreovcr,it researches the non-linear change process of geometry, stress and strain of the surface of wore material by simulation,The unique reciprocating cylinder liner-piston ring friction testing machine is made to do the research. The testing machine uses the cylinder liner-piston ring in internal combustion engine as test-piece , and it can simulate the real motion form, and do the experment that abrasive influences the wear of cylinder liner-piston ring easily.The testing machine is used to do the research in experiment that wear particle in lube influences cylinder liner-piston ring wear. The experiment result is analysed. the influence is got that in different load, temperature, velocity conditions, the size and concentration and type of wear particle act on cylinder liner-piston ring. The data of the experiment is analysed and conclusion is got.The theoretical and experiment result enriches and perfects the theorey in cylinder liner-piston ring friction pair tribology. The theoretial fundamental and science basis is given to solve the key cylinder liner-piston ring friction pair tribology in internal combustion engine. Some reference value is provided to design and manufact and use the internal combustion engine. The experiment scheme and device enrich the research means in cylinder liner-piston ring friction pair tribology.
