| This thesis focuses on real work conditions of conveying materials in domestic coking, cement and metallurgical industry, aimed to fabricate high temperature resistant conveyor belts of low cost, easy manufacturing and fitting on large scale industrial production. Based on experiment research on rubber cover and intermediate rubber compound, we developed successfully T3-type high temperature resistant conveyor belt using EPDM4045 as main composition. This work adopted new material technology of coal black covering EPDM rubber, developed new type 180℃high temperature resistant rubber cover. After that, we adopted steep pre-treatment polyester short fibers, a technology successfully used in ablation-resistant polyromide short fiber-reinforced rubber thermal insulation material, and developed ablation-resistant, 180℃high temperature resistant rubber cover, optimized the structure of high temperature resistant conveyor belt. Finally, we developed successfully new type 180℃high temperature resistant conveyor belt, ablation-resistant conveyor belt and 300℃high temperature resistant conveyor belt.The results show that: (1) the heat-resistant property of EPDM is good, but its adhesion is bad. Optimizing and designing intermediate rubber compound is a key problem of manufacturing EPDM high temperature resistant conveyor belt. (2) EPDM high temperature resistant conveyor belt easily bubbles in curing process. The solution is adopting integrating hot closely in shaping process and releasing pressure in curing process in order to exclude the air covered in conveyor belt surface. Fitly increasing the vulcanized density of curing rubber and improving the hot bear-resistant strength of curing rubber help also to prevent the bubble in curing process. (3) The elongation of polyester cotton canvas belt carcass is within 1-2%, EP canvas belt carcass pulls tight and does not elongate in curing procedure, which can control the hot contraction rate of heat-resistant conveyor belt better. (4) The manufacturing cost of T3-type high temperature resistant conveyor belt is lower when the belt carcass adopts steep polyester cotton canvas instead of DSP steep EP canvas. |
