Raised in the 1960s, Submunition is high effective ammo. Since the 1980s, when the research of the bomblet fuse was first carried out in China, not a small number of death-causing accidents have occurred when the soldiers are dealing with the duds caused by the fallibility of the firer system. Series of facts clearly show that the traditional mechanical function system, safety & arming system and self-destruction system can not reach the requirements of war at present age, which urge us to create a more advanced bomblet fuse with functions such as high function rate, high bombing height, additional hitting-bombing system and self-destruction & power-losing system. In this dissertation, based on eddy-current theory, a new kind bomblet fuse with its name magnetic short range-detecting bomblet fuse is introduced. Using coil with high frequency AC in it as the sensor, this new type bomblet fuse can convert the alternation of the distance between the coil and plate to the change of coil's inductance. Data of the inductance of the coil can be detected as through the succeeding circuit and then sent to MCU, which may control the functions of the bomblet according to the analysis of the signal. Compared with traditional mechanical bomblet fuse, the function rate and bombing height of this new type fuse are greatly increased by using magnetic sensor and hitting-bombing switch simultaneously, safety is highly improved through the MCU's time-delaying system and security problem of the after-war clean up is solved as the self-destruction & power-losing function is added. In this paper, hardware system and software system have been designed and simulation for every module of the circuit has been carried out with the purpose to prove its feasibility. Besides, experiments of testing inductances of a series of coils of different shape parameters at different heights above the plate has been done to know the influence of the coil's shape parameters on sensor's sensitivity and linearity, which would be of use for real application.
