In order to develop out the Mg/PTFE fuel-rich pyrotechnics propellant used for unchoked ducted solid rocket engine and to examine the characteristic property of the combustion outcome over environment.Firstly, the design of composition and theory calculates were done. And then on the basis of studies, the formula experiments were carried out.5 sets of more appropriate formula composition were chosen by the measurements of burning heat,burning temperature, linear burning rate,safety and reliability.Secondly, the exploration whether the physical vapor deposition could be used for the fuel-rich pyrotechnics propellant base. By the SEM structure observation and burning performance test,the feasibility of this technics was been ascertained.Thirdly, the contents of Mg in the combustion residue were tested by the wet process chemistry law. And then,the qualitative analysis on the propulsive combustion gas were studided through the remote sensing FTIR infrared spectra technology. It indicated that there mainly were HF, CO2, H2O and CO in the burning outcome.Finally, it came to the conclusion that:the Mg/PTFE fuel-rich pyrotechnics propellant had fairly better function,and it could satisfy the demand of unchoked ducted solid rocket. The next step is that we should pay attention to raw material treatment and the formula optimization, and should do further adjustment. At least it was hoped to be used in the unchoked ducted solid rocket engine.
