The asynchronous motors have been applied in the production and life widely.When it works out of order or off-the-line,not only the motor itself is destroyed, but also the whole system would be in danger and the enormous economic losses would be caused. It is very valuable to develop an online monitoring and fault diagnosis system for asynchronous motors.With the development and maturation of computer technology and embedded system technology gradually,miniaturization and intelligentize have become the direction for fault diagnosis system of motors.The author mainly deals with the design of an online monitoring and fault diagnosis system for asynchronous motors,which is based on embedded system,the system could be applied on the spot to monitor and diagnose fault for asynchronous motors.Aim at the rotor broken bar fault feature of the asynchronous motors,Combing with the theory of stator current spectroscopic analysis,the author study the Fast Fourier Transform diagnosis technology of rotor broken bar fault in stable state in deeply ,and study the Wavelet Packet Transform dignosis technology of rotor broken bar fault in unstable state in deeply,these methods are all proved true and necessary through the theory analysis and simulating experiments.The S3C2410 chip is the core microprocessor,the embedded Linux operation is the software platform.This paper describe the hardware design of every part in detail,and based on the hardware platform, BootLoader has been implemented,the Linux operation system has been transplanted successfully,and root file system has been constructed,then based on the Linux operation system,the drivers,such as Frame Buffer,Touch-Sensitive Screen,A/D converter have been finished.In the end, the embedded graphical user interface Qt/Embedded was transplanted to embedded Linux,the system provide a friendly graphical user interface,Considering the system function,the data sample programme,FFT analysis and Wavelet Packet analysis programme have been achieved.
