Recently dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs) have been widely investigated as a new type of solar cell with higher energy conversion efficiency,low cost,simple manufacturing process,etc.At present,a lot of liquid electrolyte were mostly used in the DSSCs.However, there were a great many urgent questions settled,for example electrode corrosion,electrolyte leakage,cells bad stability,short service life and so on.As liquid electrolyte,non-volatile ionic liquid electrolyte still exist leakage problem,low security and stability of DSSCs;the solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells weren't practicality value,because of the electrode of DSSCs and electrolyte badly infiltrating,low conductivity and low photoelectric conversion efficiency.In DSSCs,it is necessary to solve the cells problem,such as leakage,seal,and improving long-term stability of DSSCs.The preparation of quasi-solid electrolyte were the most effective way.In recent years,the research and development of quasi-solid-state polymer gel electrolyte dye-sensitized solar cells were attached great importance to study.In this paper,4-vinylpyridine(4-VP) and acrylonitrile(AN) as the monomer,the P(4-VP-co-AN) copolymer with the different molecular weights and microstructures were synthesized by radical solution polymerization method.P(4-VP-co-AN) as the gelator and halohydrocarbon as cross-linker,the three-dimensional network structure of P(4-VP-co-AN) were prepared by the chemically cross-linked reaction.When the liquid electrolyte containing I-/I3- were solidified,the quasi-solid-state polymer gel electrolyte were preparated.The influence of the composition,structure,cross-linked conditions of P(4-VP-co-AN) gel electrolyte on DSSCs performance were investigated,and the synthesis and preparation conditions of P(4-VP-co-AN) were optimized.The results showed that when the polymer amount of 5%,the gelator amount of 1.5%in the gel electrolyte precursor(the intrinsic viscosity of the copolymer P(4-VP-co-AN)(4-VP and AN molar ratio of 1.5:1) was 31.03 mL/g),the conductivity of the gel electrolyte was the highest under gelatin temperature of 80C,and the short current,open circuit,photo-electric conversion efficiency and peak output power of the quasi-solid state dye-sensitized solar cells respectively reached 85.07%,96.43%,79.07%and 80.95%as compared with that of the liquid electrolyte DSSCs.It was found that the photovoltaic performance and long-term stability of the quasi-solid-state electrolyte DSSCs were further improved,when the ionic liquid were added in liquid electrolyte.The photo-electric conversion efficiency and peak output power of the quasi-solid state dye-sensitized solar cells containing ionic liquid electrolyte respectively reached 97.41%and 97.92%as compared with that of the liquid electrolyte DSSCs under 100mW/cm2 AM1.5 light.
