In modern IT-based warfare more sophisticated fuze is in high demand, especially for target detection of fuze. New detecting technologies are continuously adopted to improve the informationization level of weapon platforms. Applying echolocation mechanism of bats to target detector of fuze will provide it with fast perceptual abilities of target detection, recognition and tracking abilities, which will be technique supports for fuze intellectualization.With understanding of biologic mechanism of echolocation bats, this paper studies on ultrasonic vocalization mechanism imitating bats in their hunting tasks. According to requirement for detection task of fuze, signal generator for target detector of fuze was designed with DDWS technology.Firstly, echolocation calls were analyzed, most of which are composed with CF or FM components produced by throat. CF component is sensitive to moving target and suitable for detection; FM component has high range resolution and suitable for location and distinguish target details.Secondly, enlightened by throat, mouth and nostril of bats and mechanisms of animal's vocalization, solution of signal generator generating CF, FM signal for detection of fuze imitating bat throat was proposed. After calculations of ambiguity functions, CF switching with FM solution was finally chosen.Thirdly, a signal generation circuit was designed. The circuit was based on FPGA. DDWS technology was adopted. CF/FM signal can be switched readily for the detection system. The emitting period of the signal can be controlled effectively.Finally, static experiment for the emit circuit was conducted. Feasibility of the emit circuit and the validation of the emit signal are verified.
